Monforte d'Alba is a small village with origins in the middle age where you find shops, post office, pharmacy, bancomats. In the old city is an amphitheather, where in summer the famous jazz concerts are held http://www.monfortearte.net

The area is dominated by Wineyards where Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo are grown and the many excellent restaurants where you can try the typical and famous piemontese kitchen.

In the charming central place of the village, you can enjoy a coffee or a glas of wine and observe the "quiet business".

On monday morning is a small market in Monforte d'Alba and on tuesday is a bigger one in nearby Dogliani. Saturday in Alba.
