Guesthouse - Hotel

Our hotel is situated on a hill about 2 km outside of Monforte d'Alba in the "colline del Barolo", surrounded by Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo grapes from whitch they produce the world famous Barolo. We have 6 rooms, each one with own bath. In two rooms is a third bed. In 2002, the old farm house has been restored and converted in a guesthouse. In the winter 06/07, we added a veranda with a little bar. We serve our guests a rich breakfast (buffet) with different breads, butter, homemade marmeldades, cheese, salami, fruits, yoghurt, coffee, tea etc etc, in summer outside with view on the Monterosa, GranParadiso, Monte Bianco and MonViso. Gilbert is a cook and does serve meals only for house-guests. When someone wishes dinner, we ask all the guests of the house and so all enjoy the dinner on our big wooden table or outside in summer. Regula serves the right wine from growers out of the neighbourhood. This way, many poeple have made friends and meet again at the same place. Volountairly we give advice, what to visit or for reservation of a wine tasting or one of the many good restaurants in the area.
